Unit sales of Hyundai Motor South Korea 2024, by leading model

In 2024, the all-new Santa Fe was the best-selling model among Hyundai cars in South Korea, with more than 77 thousand unit sales. That year, Hyundai Motor recorded the largest market share in domestic sales.

Hyundai’s steady growth

The sales revenue of Hyundai Motors has steadily increased over the past decade, reaching a new record of over 160 trillion South Korean won. Passenger cars have dominated Hyundai’s domestic sales, while the number of commercial vehicles sold experienced a slight decrease in 2023. Nevertheless, the sales revenue for Hyundai's small commercial vehicles has shown an overall increase, reaching a peak of five million won. 

Rise of green mobility

There has been a shift towards environmentally friendly mobility in recent years, resulting in an increasing number of electric vehicles being sold. One of the bestselling electric car models has been the commercial vehicle Hyundai Porter 2 EV, with over 25,000 units sold. Hyundai Kona Electric has also emerged as a popular choice in the hybrid electric car industry, with domestic sales exceeding 11,000 units in 2023, reflecting a growing demand for sustainable transportation solutions.
